The Royal Basilica of Montserrat has been one of Spain's most important pilgrimage sites for hundreds of years, due to its famous 12th-century Romanesque carving of the Virgen Moroneta, the Black Virgin. At 1pm on weekdays there is the opportunity to hear one of Europe's oldest children's choirs, La Escolania de Montserrat.
On your way back to Barcelona you will make a stop at the harbor, where you may choose to visit the Barcelona Aquarium (entrance fee not included). There is a variety of restaurants, cafes, shops and cinemas in this area, so feel free to conclude the tour here and stay on to explore.

Start your morning tour with a stroll through Plaza de Catalunya, considered to be the centre of the city. The plaza is known for its many fountains and statues.

The city has a rich architectural heritage and you can see evidence of this in its the cathedral founded in 1038 an the Roman walls which you can stroll along when they are open or wander the narrow streets of the old town.
Continue to the Santuari dels Angels, this spot offers panoramic views of the whole Girona region and is the spot Salvador Dali chose for his wedding. From here you will make your way to Pals, a small city that grew from a fortress. Stop here for lunch before you head to the fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell. 
The clean lines of the whitewashed houses here will be evident here and you'll have time to explore the rocky coastline or perhaps even take a dip in the inviting waters before returning to Barcelona.

After lunch, you will journey to the Colonia Guell, one of the most complete but also most forgotten works of Gaudi. Escape from the waiting lines, from the crowds, and the souvenir shops. Take the train(payable direct) from Barcelona to Capcanes, where you will be met and transferred to the winery. Capcanes is a village hidden away in the Priorato hills that is the source of many fine wines today and has a long wine growing history. Take a walk around the wild landscape of the Serra de Llaberia winery where you will find olive tree fields, almond trees, masias and some of the oldest vines in Spain. Vines were cultivated in this area between the Serra de Montalt mountain range and the Mediterranean sea, near the river Ebro ever since the times of the Iberians and the Romans.

After learning about the area's geology, climate and the harvest, you will visit the winery and enjoy a hosted wine-tasting. The cultivated varieties are cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah and garnache.

After the winery visit continue to Marca, where you are treated to a lunch of regional cuisine, served with a sample of Priorat wines. Lunch is followed by free time on your own to visit the village at your leisure, before returning by rail to Barcelona.
Take the train and return to Barcelona.
