Start the day at Buena Vista Rainforest, taking
advantage of the volcanic activity. Here, you
can enjoy either a sulfur bath with hot spring
water and a mud facial, a canopy ride or a walk
on the bridge. This paradise was built deep in
the forest among trees, rivers, ravines and
thermal springs. It is a unique place, where the
vegetation has been preserved to maintain the
rustic and natural style of the area.
You can find three species of monkeys in the
Rincon de la Vieja National Park. The area is
home to howling monkey (Congo), spider monkeys
and white face monkeys, along with many other
species of mammals. Keep an eye out for coatis,
ocelots and more than 257 species of birds. You
can admire some of them as you relax in one of
the five hot spring water pools or enjoy a
volcanic mud mask on the decks.
Enjoy this jungle spa adventure as you relax in
the rainforest, experiencing the natural beauty
of tropical Costa Rica. |

The city of Granada was founded in 1524 by the
Spaniard Francisco Hernandez de Cordoba. Despite
being besieged by pirates several times,
destroyed during the civil wars and set on fire
by the American filibuster William Walker in
1856, it continues to be one of the most
beautiful cities in Nicaragua.
You will have the opportunity to tour the city
and admire the interesting colonial and historic
features while appreciating the beautiful
architecture.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Masaya
Volcano National Park. The grounds include the
basaltic volcano itself, an interpretation
museum exploring the park’s natural phenomena,
and the famous Santiago crater. You will have
the opportunity to walk to the very edge of the
volcano and look all the way down to the bottom.
You will also have time to do some shopping at
the Masaya Indian Market, where you can look for
wonderful Nicaragua souvenirs before returning
to Costa Rica. |

Located in the mountain ranges of Guanacaste,
the biodiversity creates one of the most
attractive parks in the country. The variety of
ecosystems include cloud, rain and dry forest,

walk through the park will teach you about the
forest, including volcanic activity in the form
of fumaroles (vents from which volcanic gas
escapes into the atmosphere).
Learn about the diverse types of flora and fauna
that make up the vegetation in the park. The
rich animal life inhabiting the park is often
surprising, and includes everything from tapirs
to coatimundis.
This tour is a fun and educational way to see
the many forms of life and nature Costa Rica has
to offer. Great for a family vacation, this tour
is packed with information about the lifestyle
of Central America. |
